What a find! My wife and I and two friends booked in for the last night of our holiday. The hotel is situated on a smart street opposite a very elegant opera house. It's a short stroll to the shops (many of which are very smart and up-market). The rooms are a good size with large comfortable beds and an en suite bathroom with an excellent shower. Slippers and a towelling .robe are provided. A generous breakfast is included. All this for 59 euros. I'm sure this price will vary, but this is what we paid per room.
Excellent location in Monte Catini near centre, although a little hard to find because part of the road leading to the hotel was closed due to August holidays. On-site parking was a big plus. Rooms were nice and kept very clean.
Front desk staff was not very helpful and not the most pleasant (they seemed to be more interested in sitting in front of their computers). Although breakfast was decent, they didn't have enough staff to clear tables and serve coffee. I had requested 2 adjoining or adjacent rooms when I booked them several months ago....would have figured it was enough time to organize that, unfortunately not. Travelling with my family, I was very disappointed that our rooms could not have been further apart in the hotel and staff did not seem to care to do anything about it. Although a nice place, not sure I'd go back due to service.
The hotel is very Italian, very nicely decorated and there are some nice touches: big flatscreen TV, very varied and plentiful breakfast and plenty of towels, for example. The town is very nice, and the hotel is well placed within it.
The shower wasn't great, but after many hotels in France and Italy this summer, none are the same as my one at home, I think its a theme!
Great location for Tuscany trips using the train, pretty little city with lots of restaurants, nice first floor room with modern elevator, bathroom, flat screen TV, and great breakfast buffet included. We enjoyed our stay there and hope to return some day.
Perfect location on the main street near a park and a short walk to Terme Tettuccio, a very nice Liberty style spa (not a modern spa but one for relaxing and taking the waters). Because the street is closed to traffic in summer, it's pleasant to sit on the hotel's front terrace along the street.Breakfast was fine and I liked that it started at 7am. Good air conditioning, pretty quiet room, and good internet. Large bathroom so although the shower got the floor very wet, it didn't really matter. It was a good bargain on the room rate for a nice hotel.
Parking very difficult to get to as the street is closed to traffic and many one-way and limited traffic streets make it hard to access the place where you can get in. Old style shower not so great.
It has a good location in the Montecatini Centro with all facilities around like train, shopping, food etc. staff is very friendly and the food quality is very fine.
This hotel feels like a spa hotel and the bathrobes are a nice touch. It has a beautiful glassed-in restaurant in the front, as well as cafe tables. The breakfast has a good selection of fresh fruit, as well as gluten-free items. They give a 10% discount card for the wonderful spa services just across the street.
This hotel is very central to visit the main sites in Montecatini but out of the main buzz. If you speak to the staff they will be very willing to help you regarding taxis, places to go etc. Tourist information is a few yards down the road.
There is no literature around to help you decide on places to visit, either in the rooms or reception. The hotel appears to take large parties of teenage school children which can naturally be very noisy.
Great location, parking, silence around
Noisy inside- you can hear all things are doing your Neighbors. Pure breakfast, ( Nestle instant coffee is a nonsense for 4 stars hotel in Italia). Cleaners disturb you at any time they wants, not you.
Terrible experience. My single room was a dark dingy hole in the wall and nothing in it worked. Atfirst I was told they overbooked agreeing thAt the room was infer, and then they put off changing my room. I checked out after one night but had to pay a penalty for another night.
Good and comfotable location, nice hotel parking and friendly stuff.
Breakfast is very basic for 4 star hotel, but actually it was a common problem of most hotels we've visited in Italy this season...
The view, the cold eggs, no screens on the windows.
Location is great.
The staff was not friendly or helpful. We arrived at about 8:30 P.M. & had 2 large pieces of luggage. There was no one to help us with luggage & we were kept waiting to check in. Two receptionists were talking to another guest & we were ignored. Then we were given a room in the attic. I asked to be moved & was told we could only be moved in the morning. We were only staying there 2 evenings & I tried to cancel the next day & they said we would have to pay. I called another hotel & we moved the next day. I was not even there for 1 full day & they demanded to charge us. They had our credit card so there was nothing we could do. I will pursue a refund. I requested to speak to the manager & I was told there was no one available. We went down to have breakfast which was included & we had 15 more minutes prior to breakfast ending. There was about a spoonful of srambled eggs & we requested more eggs. We were told it was too late to make more eggs. I would not recommend this hotel. Poor service & very poor attitude.
Great location, right in front of the spa and very near to the city center.
Location in the centre
Parking very expensive, room wuite expensive
